Installation

Installation of an air conditioner involves mechanical and electrical tasks. The mechanical procedure involves physically instituting the device on a convenient location like the wall/window. In case of Packaged Air Conditioners the common practice is to install it in a rectangular opening in the window or make a similar hole in the wall. In certain cases, the device is also kept on the floor, a practice discouraged since it sucks in more dust than usual. In case of a split air conditioner, there is flexibility in placing it anywhere in the room, provided certain electrical requirements are met.

With respect to the electrical regulations, it mostly depends on the tonnage. For Packaged Air Conditioners, our technicians at My World Aircon take care of the appropriate stabilizer requirements for the voltage fluctuation. In case of split air conditioners, a ducting exercise needs to be done using copper tubes and good insulation. For Packaged Air Conditioners, one of the basic things that the user can do is to vacuum clean the unit from the exterior, in order to brush away the dust and cobwebs that an air conditioner tends to gather after prolonged use. Besides this, it is advisable to always run the device for a few minutes even in winters and spring when the customer may not need it; the reason being that any kind of machines should be operative regularly and not subjected to tremendous use all of a sudden. These measures are more apt for residential air conditioning. If our customers do not have the necessary personnel to conduct these tasks, our technicians can perform preventive maintenance for a nominal fee.

AMC (Annual Maintainance Contract)
